This June, best-selling and multi award-winning East Coast singer-songwriter Lennie Gallant returns to Summerside’s Harbourfront Theatre – a personal favourite venue of his – with a special concert for summertime, following a series of sold-out concerts over recent festive seasons. This show promises to put sunshine into your heart and soul – making for an essential date as part of your summer schedule on PEI!

Gallant and his fabulous band will be performing new material for an upcoming album and also from his work with music icon, the late Jimmy Buffett. Expect a lot of laughs, great tales, poignant moments, and occasional surprises that promises to make your island summer unforgettable!

Gallant truly is a master tunesmith. His lyrics and the melody lines that flow through them are beautifully interwoven and go straight for the heart almost every time.

Lennie Gallant has released fifteen albums of original songs which have won him a host of awards and nominations from the JUNOs, Les Prix Éloizes, and The ECMAs. His songs have been described as “true slices of life delivered with a poet’s flair and a rugged emotional sensibility”. His multimedia production, Searching for Abegweit, ran for 190 shows in Eastern Canada. His song Peter’s Dream, from that show, was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Lennie is an international artist who has performed all over North America and Europe. His songs have been covered by many artists and he has shared the stage with several orchestras and with performers such as Lucinda Williams, Patti Griffin and Roger Hodgson.
