About the artists

Meaghan Blanchard is a talented and award-winning songwriter, storyteller and performer hailing from rural Prince Edward Island, Canada. With her unique ability to craft songs that are both personal and relatable, her love of storytelling shines through in her lyrics, drawing listeners deep into her world. Blanchard has been recognized with numerous nominations and awards throughout her two-decade long music career. She is a multiple ECMA award winning artist and most recently, took home the 2019 Music PEI Award for Album of the Year for her latest full length recording: THE GREAT ESCAPE. She has been a featured performer at festivals and venues across Canada and the United Kingdom, captivating audiences with her musicianship, stories and heartfelt songs.

Summerside’s Nathan Wiley first earned acclaim for his 2002 debut Bottom Dollar, which won the East Coast Music Award for Alternative Album of the Year, and was chosen by Billboard Magazine as one of the top ten albums of 2002. His blend of classic sounds with a modern, slightly world weary perspective struck a chord with listeners, as songs full of subtle melodies and lyrics addressing those unquenchable yearnings inside all of us wormed their way into their ears. In the years that followed, Wiley has made good on the promise of Bottom Dollar with the ECMA-winning sophomore album High Low (2004), the Steve Berlin (Los Lobos) produced effort, The City Destroyed Me (2007), Bandits (2015) and most recently Modern Magic, which took home Music PEI’s “album of the year” and “songwriter of the year” as well as another ECMA nomination. Nathan recently scored his first feature film, Nightblooms and has shared the stage with artists like Blue Rodeo, Sarah Harmer, Steve Earle, Billy Bragg, Matt Mays, Ron Sexsmith and many more, while his work has appeared on tv, film and stage.

Tanya Davis is an interdisciplinary artist based in rural Epekwitk. She creates for the page, the stage, the stereo, and the screen and is PEI’s current Poet Laureate.
